We had a great visit with Jason and the rest of the family here in Bethesda. Now we head back to California and getting back to our lives. Jason was dealing with the lack of action, due to a new doctor on duty, and that was the biggest issue for controlling his pain. Linda and I had a great time being with everyone here and hope we can get back here sooner, rather than later. I don't have too much more to update with tonight, so I'll just say thank you, for all the continued prayers and support.
Again, I have no reasonable excuse other than to say I got side tracked. On the last post I mentioned that Jason had gotten injured, while playing in the hockey tournament. Well, as it turned out it was a more serious injury than either of us had suspected. The outcome was that he lost some soft tissue and a section of his pelvic bone was exposed (about the size of a quarter) and he is now required to have a wound-vac so that it can heal properly. This means that he has to spend most of his time in bed and can only be up in his chair for no more than 20 minutes at a time, and that followed by hours of rest time. The rest time is for the injury, and not necessarily for Jason, as he isn't tired. As you can imagine, he gets very board with this "life style" and wants to get up and go do something. We've been going in to wound-care frequently, once or twice each week, and they keep telling us, "...we'll take a look at it next week, to see what happens next....
Happy Thanksgiving, Jason! Sorry to hear the pain elevated but glad to know that it's under control again. I hope that gets straightened out when Dr. Malone gets back next week. Sounds like everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving visit. I bet the girls are growing fast and furious. Hugs to all!

What amazing words of Scripture! Know that I'm praying!
ReplyDeletePsalms 139:17-18 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
