April 20, 2011 - Late Posting... again
Well, for all those who were wondering what happened - apparently there is still a network inconsistency out here, where for whatever reason the wi-fi in the Lodge (where we are staying) goes down. I suppose it could be related to the construction that is going on, but I'm not sure; anyway, on to the blog post.

Jason had a very good surgery, in that they went in, washed out his wounds and he came back out. The surgery only took a couple of hours, which was much shorter time period than they had scheduled the O.R. for. When we spoke with the doctors we were told that his wounds looked the best they have looked so far, and they were very encouraged with his healing. Having said this, Jason is still in a pretty high level of discomfort and pain, so from his perspective he would just like to see all these surgeries be over. The other issues of infection and pneumonia seem to be under control, and his fever has been normal, floating around 98 degrees.
Bridgette had to head back to Jacksonville (home) to take care of some personal business that she and Jason had to get done. As a result Stacy and Jackie are staying with Grandma and Grandpa for a couple of days and the first responsibility of the grandparents is to spoil the grand kids. ;-)
Found out Wednesday that Jason, who is now on the 3rd floor will be going back into surgery on Friday, and when he comes back he will be going to the 4th floor. The entire C.C.U. (I.C.U.) is moving on Friday. The surgery is going to be pretty much the same as Wednesday's surgery and it is hoped will be another quick one. His doctor talks about how Jason's recovery/healing will suddenly start moving more quickly, and I am hoping that Jason has turned that corner. That would be a major boost to Jason, and the rest of the family, so please keep him, the family and the doctors in your prayers.
Thank you, for all your prayers and continued support, it is much appreciated, more so than we will ever be able to express.
