Jason went to the gym today, and had a good work out. First time for the gym in a few weeks, and most of that was due to holidays and too many other things going on. The girls seem to have latched on to a couple of colds, and are keeping them. We've been giving them medicine that has been recommended by the doctors and pharmacists, yet the colds remain about the same. Of course that really isn't a bad thing, as they still get out and play and are running around the house. Their colds aren't very bad, just the sneezing and runny noses won't go away.
Stacy and I had a major milestone. She has gotten better on her bike, and she and I went on our first "long" bike ride, together. It was just a little over four miles, on a specific bike path, and she did a very good job of not stopping any more than she needed. We came across a few other riders and even a few pathway walkers, and Stacy was able to demonstrate she had the confidence to just keep on riding right past them. Of course she would have also stopped if there was a need, but fortunately, in this case, it was just a straight ride. Jackie hasn't mastered are her cycling skills, so she still has her training wheels. The one thing I talked to Jason about was that I think we're going to be needing to move up to the next level of bike for Stacy and let Jackie take over Stacy's old bike. We'll have to wait and see how it plays out.
Linda and I are doing well. I am still fighting that same cold, as the girls, but it hasn't stopped us from getting out much; the fresh air helps. The rain, on the other hand, did keep us in doors for a couple of days. We were very fortunate that we didn't have to worry about mud slides, like some of the areas and little north of here. The biggest challenge we had to deal with was with the chickens, and their reaction to rain. They pretty much stayed in side the coop, and thus didn't get wet, but their food was out side, so it did, and it made it a little messy. Fortunately the weather was better today, so a little drying out was on the agenda and they are happy again.
Not much else to go on about. Jason is looking to do more with his Sled hockey, and we're making some solid steps to get a custom sled built for Jason. The VA is going to pay for it, and we've made a definite move in the right direction to see it happen. As things develop I'll do my best to let you know, and we'll see where it takes us. Thanks, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

There's no safer place to be! Lifting up prayer right now!
ReplyDeletePsalms 36:7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
There is no other God or Rock. Turn to Him always! Am here praying right now!
ReplyDelete2 Samuel 22:31-33 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.
I'm here praying right now!
ReplyDeleteLamentations 3:55-56 I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon. Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry.
