I've noticed a significant drop off in the number of readers of my blog, and I suppose that stands to reason, considering the number of updates I've been posting. Well, today's post isn't going to have any earth shattering news or updates. Jason is still dealing with some major discomforts and getting very anxious to be able to get out and about again. In his words... "This room is VERY boring." He has been in a hospital room for a total of well over a year and in that time it just doesn't get any better. You get tired of TV, tired of playing games, and tired of yelling at the support staff. Visitors are so very important to break up some of the monotony. Linda and I are going to do our best to be back there on September 15, with the girls, and stay for a few days. We really can't stay very long this time, as I need to get back to work. Funny thing happens when you're out of work for nearly two years - you run out of money.

Anyway, as developments come I will let you all know, and I will continue to prepare for the 2-day bike ride and still looking for support at eodride.org. Thank you, for all your continued prayers and support, it has made a significant difference.

    You haven't "lost" ME! I check the blog everyday to see if there is a post. I will continue to check because I have been with the blog from the beginning and the Ross family has become like family to me. I will continue to remember you

I know I haven't been keeping up with the blog and posting as often as I said I would, but I guess that's what happens when the days really do start to seem more normal, and don't feel like there is much to update about. Then when there is something exciting going on, by the time I can get to the blog I'm pretty well worn out for the day and then I'm slow to get to it afterward. Well, I will continue to provide updates, as I can and we'll just have to see where it takes us. Jason's sled hockey season is over and he had a great time with it. He was not able to go to the final tournament, in Chicago, due to travel challenges. First challenge was simply getting there - there really isn't any way to get there, that doesn't simply totally wear him out, and then he needs the next day to recover. Again, I have no reasonable excuse other than to say I got side tracked. On the last post I mentioned that Jason had gotten injured, while playing in the hockey tournament. Well, as it turned out it was a more serious injury than either of us had suspected. The outcome was that he lost some soft tissue and a section of his pelvic bone was exposed (about the size of a quarter) and he is now required to have a wound-vac so that it can heal properly. This means that he has to spend most of his time in bed and can only be up in his chair for no more than 20 minutes at a time, and that followed by hours of rest time. The rest time is for the injury, and not necessarily for Jason, as he isn't tired. As you can imagine, he gets very board with this "life style" and wants to get up and go do something. We've been going in to wound-care frequently, once or twice each week, and they keep telling us, "...we'll take a look at it next week, to see what happens next....

Happy St. Patty's Day!

To day was a good day for Jason, as they removed the breathing tube from his mouth and throat, and his medications and pain meds were lowered. All this lead to him being able to begin talking to us, and have visitors, other than from family. On top of that, Bridgette came with the girls today (she went a short time ago to go pick them up), so he'll be able to see and speak with them as well. Of course tomorrow is Friday, and he is scheduled for another surgery (I'll talk more about that later) so we will need to go visit with him early in the morning, and then later tomorrow we will be able to visit with him again. He was visited by a bunch of different doctors with all of them asking him the same basic questions of, "How are you feeling? Where do you have pain? Can you tell me where you are?" etc., etc. Then came the psychiatrist, who wanted to be sure of his mental abilities and neurological issues.
