Jason's day today, was pretty much the same as yesterday, and that's a good thing. The wounds on his left side have almost closed up, and that is a better thing; and, he is taking on greater control of his own life and that is the best thing. Okay, maybe I'm being a little over dramatic here but things are going well and Jason remains positive about the future. We're making plans for my departure, and I have spoken with the folks at Balboa, including giving them a list of the things that I need to do regularly for Jason. I will be working with others, over these next two weeks to make sure as many of the points are covered as possible, and then it will be simply up to Jason to learn what he still needs assistance with.

The treatment with the hyperbaric chamber seems to be going well, I just wish they could get their schedule to be a little more stable. It seems like the get started with their "dives" a little later each day now, and so that means he gets out a little later each day. We didn't get out of there until after 13:00 (1pm) today, and that tends to disrupt the rest of the day's schedule. Jason will have four more weeks after tomorrow, and then a decision will be made as to whether he should continue with more, or if there has been enough improvement. Once that point has been reached they will then talk about his next surgeries, and that could mean travel back out to Bethesda, MD. We'll just have to wait and see on that one.

Thank you, for staying with the blog all these months, and thank you even more for all the prayers and support that you all have been sending out way. I will be continuing the blog, through the rest of these next two weeks, and then it will be updates as things happen, so please continue to check on the blog from time to time.

  1. Will definitely keep checking!
Life can be overwhelming at times, but the victory is ours through Christ! Put your trust in Him! Praying!
1 Corinthians 15:54-57 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

  2. What a blessing to have Jason feel well enought to let you come home. I'm sure it will be an adjustment for both of you but one that parent and child go through together. The cool thing is that Jason is feeling strong and he knows he wants to take the best care of himself and he has a great medical team. As well, he has an army of support and prayer warriors that have his back. Hopefully, Jason, you can drop us a line on facebook now and then to let us know how you are and what's new in your recovery?? I, myself, will go through with-drawls from the blog, but, we will get to see you a lot more now. San Diego is just a short plane ride away. We're got a Giant ticket for you as a homecoming, George.

Got your back, Jason and George, and always our best,
