Not much going on today. We had breakfast with the girls, and it was a little different from most of the rest of this past week. Jason typically has his breakfast without getting out of bed, and then only gets out when he has to. Today he got up at about 06:30 and decided he wanted to take a shower. After the shower he had new dressings put on his wounds, and by the way, they're looking better. In fact, all of the area is looking better, and I'm pretty happy about it, considering I've been the one to see it every time. Anyway, after the shower the girls got up and were full of energy as they always are, and Jason decided to get dressed, to come have breakfast with the girls. In hindsight, I think this may have been an error because by 09:00 he was feeling uncomfortable and needed to get back in bed, which lead to us not going to church today. Well, we don't need to attend every Sunday, we just like to attend regularly.

The rest of the day was spent doing some laundry and lazing around the house. I did walk over to the mail box and pick up the Saturday mail, but other than that not much went on. Jason has appointments tomorrow, and more importantly, the girls BOTH start at their day care on the naval base. This will be the first time since we've been in San Diego, that they have both been enrolled in a regular day care program. The drop in center was good, and the folks there got to know the girls, so they will be missed. However, I do believe this will be better for the both of them, as well as us.

    Wow, what wonderful news about the wounds looking better!! That is a true blessing. It's been a long road with that!! I'm happy to hear about the girls getting to get to school together :-) It will be much easier to get around to all the appointments and such and being able to rest a bit yourself. I've seen nothing but miracles along this journey and I don't see why there can't be another. Have a wonderful evening and a great day tomorrow.

    I've been "following" your blog for awhile now. Thank you so much for the daily updates. It is wonderful to read that y'all are doing so well! Stay strong & keep your chin up Jason ~ you can do this! We don't know one another but we're very proud of you. Thank you so much for your sacrifice & service to our country. 10 Alive Day (10 Years after the blast)

 Wow! It has been 10 years today, that Jason was injured and despite all the expectations from the medical folks, he's still alive and as positive and active as ever. Most of you are aware that he is into sled-hockey and that we haven't been able to get out and play for over a year now. There is a positive side to all this, though, as the timing of the shut downs and the length of the pandemic. It began just as Jason's team (the Ducks) was getting ready to go to the championship tournament, in Philadelphia, when everything was shut down. This meant that because they were defending champions they simply maintained the title. Then the following season was cancelled so the third year they have kept the title as well... trouble is that no- body wants to keep it that way. I know I haven't been keeping up with the blog and posting as often as I said I would, but I guess that's what happens when the days really do start to seem more normal, and don't feel like there is much to update about. Then when there is something exciting going on, by the time I can get to the blog I'm pretty well worn out for the day and then I'm slow to get to it afterward. Well, I will continue to provide updates, as I can and we'll just have to see where it takes us. Jason's sled hockey season is over and he had a great time with it. He was not able to go to the final tournament, in Chicago, due to travel challenges. First challenge was simply getting there - there really isn't any way to get there, that doesn't simply totally wear him out, and then he needs the next day to recover.  First - Happy Easter to you all!! We attended the 11:00am services and it was packed. This was a much happier and more "normal" Easter than last year, and I'm glad. I want to apologize that I didn't get any pictures, but I do know that Linda has taken a few these past several days, so it is just a matter of me getting time with her 'droid and then I can pull a few over here.
