Today was an interesting day, in that Jason had no appointments, though he was supposed to have had one (more on that later), and he has only a couple tomorrow. As a result of this lack of appointments I STRONGLY encouraged him to simply stay in bed and give the wounds a chance to heal up a bit, and tomorrow I'll find out if that was an effective strategy or not. He already told me that he will be taking a shower in the morning, so I'll need to get him up on the early side, about 07:00 if he wants to have breakfast. The down side right now, is that it seems he has caught a cold or some type of sinus issue - again, we'll find out more tomorrow.

On a very good note for today... Jason's truck is now up-to-date with all needed registration, and the new tag is on the license. Most of you are probably not aware of the challenges we have had in first getting his truck here, and then finding the time to get it smogged and registered. The DMV in California is not noted for its fast moving lines, yet today when I went in to do the final registration step and get the tag for the plate, only took about 30 minutes. The first time I went into this particular office it was packed and even with an appointment it took me close to an hour to get through. Today, I went in without an appointment (I know, I should have made one) it went very fast. Of course, for whatever reason there were not many people there today, so I'll take those kinds of gifts when I can.

I also got in a short bike ride and have determined that this part of San Diego is not very bicycle friendly. I know where some trails and routs are, that are much easier to get around with, so I'll start putting the bike in the back of the truck and heading out for a ride that way. Back in Livermore I'd frequently run my errands on the bike, but I won't be doing that here.

Not much else to write about today - we had Turkey Pot Pies for dinner, and they were good (Marie Calendar). Doing my best to get to bed at a reasonable time, and hoping to sleep through the night for a change (woke up at 03:30 today for some reason). Thank you, all for the continued support and prayers. All of it is very much appreciated.

  1. Know that I'm always here praying!
Romans 8:35, 37-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?...Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  2. Aloha!

I had to read the blog, never miss a day. I was wondering if the gals would bring home a bug from daycare one of these days. Geez, Jason, your immune system is in overdrive. I hope you kick the cold/whatever it is.

Praying for you all the time, everywhere I go.

    All our best,
    Karen & Rob

  3. Hi Jason - It's not easy to not be sitting up and staying off the wounds but I will be so glad on the upcoming day to read that those wounds have finally closed!
