Today was a nice day - the kind of day that I really appreciate. Jason had to get to a couple of appointments and we needed to get the girls over to their care, and it all went smoothly. The only thing we didn't do that we possibly should have was to go to the pharmacy to fill another of his Rx. Obviously we're not out of that particular medication, though we are low, so we decided we could wait a day or so to get it done. We picked the girls back up after only a couple of hours, and then we spent the rest of the day with them, and relaxing at the house. Not sure what has gotten in to the girls, but it must have been some happy juice or maybe its just in the air; because they were both goofy and playing all over the place. It wore me down a bit, but it was fun being with them, that's for sure.
About the only other thing that Jason did today was to get in touch with Anthony Netto, the guy with the golf assist carts (not sure what to call them yet). They are actually capable of doing much more than just golf, its just that golf is where Mr. Netto did most of his work. Anyway, Jason is really interested in getting one, and that is moving too - I hope. Anthony has invited us to go to the beach with him, so that he and Jason can go out to the tide pools, this Saturday. Linda will be down tomorrow, so she'll be able to come along, and she and I can play with the girls, while the guys go exploring. I hope I can take a bunch of pictures as it should be a great deal of fun.
Jason told the girls the story of Billy Goats Gruff and The Troll, and Stacy was totally into the story. It felt good to have him put the girls to bed, at least as much as he could, and the girls really liked having Daddy there to kiss them good night. Basically the routine is that after dinner the girls get to go play for a little while then I take them in for their bath, and then they go to bed. Usually Jackie is slowing down about this time and Stacy seems to be getting a second wind or something. Then the story time comes along and she calms right down to listen, and if Daddy is telling the story it is even better.
That was the end of the day, and now it is the end of the day for me too. Thank you, all for all your continued support and prayers.

ReplyDeletePsalms 86:1-4 Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily. Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

Isn't it wonderful to appreciate the beauty of the ordinary? I know it has been such a constant tidal wave of stuff...I love hearing that you and the girls and Jason are getting to just be...and plan fun things.
ReplyDeleteYay for that!!
