Getting a late start on the blog, and in fact there really isn't too much to update on. Jason is doing well and had a visit from Gunny Parker. The visit was the high point of the day and you could tell a positive uplift for him as a result. I'm going to see if I can get more Marines to come by and visit, just to allow for some folks who can talk the same language as Jason.

The other great thing about today was that they finally finished the backyard area with ground cover, or mulch. It looks good and it is nice to have the environment where the girls can go out and play, and I don't worry about what they will be running on. The folks here at Gateway (a part of Lincoln Housing) have been doing a very good job of accommodating all of our requests and needs. Then again, I don't think we ask for too much, other than to keep things safe.

Linda is still up in Livermore, and they had the awards dinner tonight. The awards are from the October event, and Linda going up this week was because of this, as well as making the effort to get the house finished up. Jason provided her with a small thank you, statement she read and from what she told me I guess it was received well.

The girls are with us again and we had a great time tonight. We got to play around the house and in the backyard, and then after dinner I read some short stories to them. Tomorrow is a big day, as we're going shopping, and that tends to be a time they really like. Riding in the shopping cart is always a lot of fun and they get to wave at all the other people. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

  1. Hope you're having a good weekend!
Know that you're always in my prayers!!!!!!!
John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
