Today started a little better today, than the past couple of days, in that we got down stairs early enough to get the girls up and moving a little earlier. Linda and I split up the duties and it worked wonderfully. Stacy came out first and I got her breakfast, and just about the time she was finishing Jackie came out. I had already made Stacy's lunch, so I set Jackie up for her breakfast and then Stacy finished. A couple of minutes later we were ready to head off to the school and Jackie wanted to go with us. I took a look at the clock and decided that there was plenty of time so the three of us went.

It was nice not having to rush to get to the school, and Stacy had plenty of time to get to their morning assembly. Jackie and I walked back to the house and then she finished getting ready and I took her to school. When I came back to the house I decided to head over to the gym and put in some time on the treadmill. I'm not really tracking my weight, so I don't know how much I've lost (if anything), but my pants are beginning to feel a bit looser.

The rest of the morning was spent with Jason and Linda... and a friend, Tim, who happened to drop by. He is the Realtor we're working with, to get Jason's house going, and like many other things, it is moving slowly. The good news is that things are still moving forward, and perhaps in a matter of a few weeks we'll know if Jason's first choice is agreed upon, or if he should start thinking about some other place. Also, if it takes a few weeks then perhaps he will be ready to get out of bed again, and on to his chair, and I think that will be a good thing for him. I did the dressing change for Jason a little later in the day than usual (this evening actually) and they all are looking pretty good. I am hopeful it continues through tomorrow and he is able to keep it all together until his next appointment on Friday.

The brings me to the rest of the day... Today was our "Date Day" together. We took off to go see a movie, "Non Stop" with Liam Neeson. We first went to the theater that I thought we were supposed to, but apparently I missed something on the web search, and we found out that the movie wasn't showing there. The good thing was that the theater where it was showing was only a short distance away (actually only about two blocks).  As a result of the theater goof, we ended up with an extra hour so we went for a walk and ended up at an ice cream parlor. I had a large sundae and Linda had a banana split (didn't finish it though). Then we were off to the movie. We both loved the movie and agree that if you enjoy Liam Neeson, suspense, and twists and turns in a story, you'll want to see this. Finally we headed off to get some dinner and had a great meal at one of the restaurants over looking the bay. It was probably the best time we've had together in a long time, and we hope we can do it again... soon. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

  1. You've spent so much time apart you NEED many more days like this!!!!!!!!!!
These words are so amazing and comforting!! Praying!
Psalms 62:5-8 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

  3. Know that you're in my prayers!
Psalms 61:1-4 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
