A very pleasant day for everyone. It rained like a good mid-western thunderstorm, for awhile this morning. When it let up a little I went over to the gym, to get some cardio work in; I didn't get as much as I wanted as I don't like being away from Jason for too long right now. In another couple of weeks it will be considerably better, and then I can go for a better work out.
We didn't have to go in to the hospital, as the wound vacs all seem to be functioning like they're supposed to, and tomorrow Jason gets back on schedule and will be heading to the hospital for a SCHEDULED appointment. He is in pretty good spirits, though he would probably like to have a few more visitors. Cynthia Queen, from the Presbyterian Church that we've been to a couple of times, came over for a nice visit. She also brought over some flowers and a copy of the UT (local newspaper) that had the article about the Gary Sinise Foundation concert at Balboa, and it had a picture of Jason. Otherwise, Jason has to put up with Mom and Dad all day, and I think we need to get him some buddies to come over (I'm working on that tomorrow).
We've been trying to be creative with our meals, though we have to keep in mind what Jason can and can not eat, considering the position he is in, and has to remain in, for the next few weeks. Sandwiches, burgers, and burritos, with maybe some fried chicken in there. Everything else becomes difficult to eat as he has to do it from an angle and on his side. We had burritos tonight, and they were good - I'm just getting tired of burritos. I'll have to come up with some different items tomorrow. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.
