Today started out with me getting up and going for a short run. The real good news about that is that my achilles tendon has not been giving me any trouble or pain, and I can get out and move a little again. The down side is that my running is really short runs, and I have a long way to go to go out for a 10K again. Other than that, the morning was fairly uneventful... and that's how I like them.

Linda took care of Jason while I took off to go to the pharmacy at the hospital. I was expecting to pick up a tube of ointment for Jason, and when I arrived they handed me six. Actually I was happy to see that much, as I didn't want to have to keep going back and forth, every time I ran out. Jason stayed in bed today, thus completing two full weeks, since the surgery. The healing is coming along well, and he is still in good spirits, though really wanting this to be done. We do get to head over to Wound Care, at the hospital a couple times a week, as they want to do the wound care there, and I am very happy with that. The wound vac has been functioning well and we haven't seen any signs of leaks, so I am hopeful that this next visit (tomorrow) they will again be able to put on the dressing and set the seal so that we don't have to concern ourselves with it.

Otherwise, tomorrow will be another relaxed day, and the girls will be coming to stay with us for the next five days. Linda will be doing more with them, so that they can get out and play outside. Both Stacy and Jackie really love their Grandma, and Grandma really loves her granddaughters. A nice balance if I ever saw one.

Linda and I got a chance to get out and go to a movie, and then we grabbed a bite to eat before we had to get back home. Joselyn stayed with Jason and we were totally comfortable with that. She has a very good understanding of Jason and he is comfortable with her. The interesting part was that Jason fell asleep and slept for just about the entire time we were gone, and will possibly do that through the night. Thank you, for all your continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

  1. Know that I'm always praying! Praying so hard for all the wounds to finally heal once and for all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Psalms 86:1-4 Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily. Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
