Today was a busy day, and tomorrow is going to be even busier. We got started with Linda taking the girls to their respective schools and then Jason and I headed down to the DMV, where I was able to get the title transfer done on a donated wheelchair accessible van, over to Linda and my name. This is going to be the permanent van for our use, and we won't be "borrowing" a van from the base any more. This is a good thing for all of us, and even though it was a bit of an effort to get all the logistics out of the way, we are very happy and honored to have the van donated to us. It came from a group called North County Warrior Support.

There was another bonus for today and that was a visit from some old friends. Jim and Harriet Boomer came by, to have lunch with us. They are down in San Diego, getting some things ready and in place for their daughter's wedding, coming up next month. You could tell they had been working on this and I think they appreciated the break to have the lunch with us. It was really good for me to get a chance to catch up with Jim, as we hadn't really had much communications (other than a few emails and phone calls) over these past few years. Jim and I go way back, about 30+ years, when we both went to work for National Semiconductor. We had some fond memories of working there so it was enjoyable talking and revisiting those days with him.

The rest of the day was spent playing with the girls and just relaxing through the evening. Tomorrow we will be headed up to Fallbrook, where there is a small celebration on the property, where Jason's house will be built. Not really sure about all that is planned, just that a few of the people involved are going to be meeting there in the morning, and we'll probably get some pictures taken. Then tomorrow evening we will be going to dinner to complete the celebration. We're looking for ward to it. Thank you, for all the continued prayers and support. Take care and stay positive.

  1. Glad you have the lot picked out for the house. Hope it's a grand celebration!
Hope this beautiful Gospel passage gives you comfort! Lifting up prayers right now!
Titus 3:4-7 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
