Jason and I went in for his formation this morning, after dropping Jackie off at her pre-school, and saw a little bit of a different gathering. The Sergeant Major was actually scheduled to retire at the end of this month, much like Jason is (Jason is scheduled to actually retire at the end of August, and will be going on terminal leave for two months prior to that, so effectively he retires at the end of June), only things didn't work out as well as he had hoped. Apparently some family or personal issue(s) came up and he has to leave tomorrow. We are going to miss the Sergeant Major, as he is a very good guy to know and always has a story or two to tell. He is the ranking enlisted man of the Wounded Warriors; the next highest rank is Gunny.

After we came back to the house we had a quick breakfast (got back before 10:00) and then Linda suggested that we all (the 3 of us) go to a movie, and of course she had one picked out. It turned out to be "A Million Ways to Die in The West." All she knew about it was that it was a comedy and we were all in the mood for a comedy, so we agreed to go. We found out just exactly what kind of comedy it was, once it started playing, and it wasn't a typical type that we would go see. It was funny, very funny in some places, and it was also very crude. If you're a Seth McFarland fan then I would suggest that you go see the movie, and if you're not, don't go.

We got back to the house after the movie and then went to go pick up the girls. We had told them that we would all go to the library today and that is where we were headed. Stacy was pretty excited to be able to return her previous books, and then get to check out more. I think she likes the idea of what a library is, and how it works. We actually stayed at the library until they were just about closed, and then headed back home.

The rest of the evening was relaxed, though Linda's stomach started to act up a bit, so she went to lay down, and then just fell asleep. I think she needed a little extra rest since these past few days have been pretty busy and active for us. She generally proof reads my posts, so if today's has type-o's, or just sometimes makes no sense... I apologize. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

  1. Not a fan so not going to that movie. Glad you had some laughs, though.
Call upon the Lord! He hears! He answers according to His Will. Praying as always!
Lamentations 3:55-58 I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon. Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry. Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not. O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.
