We had a nice Sunday, and other than going to church this morning, we pretty much stayed home. We did go to Costco to pick up a few things and I went for a nice 15.25 mile bike ride this morning. It took me just over an hour and I tracked it with my new Runtracker App. A friend of mine, Bill B. suggested it and so far it seems to work pretty well. It runs on a smart phone and reports to you as you are moving along. I wear a backpack as I ride, and keep my cell phone at the top of the pack. This way I can hear it as I go along, and it tells me the pace I'm keeping. I was actually hoping to get a little better time, but traffic lights don't always cooperate along the route. Anyway, that was before church, and I got back to the house with plenty of time to not only get myself ready, but I also helped get the girls ready, with time to spare.
The rest of the day was spent just relaxing and playing with the girls. Linda is still working on getting things reorganized around here, and she's making some good progress. Jason and I do our best to just stay out of the way (I do help to move and carry stuff when she asks, but otherwise I stay clear). Jason's wounds are looking very good right now, and I'm hopeful that the healing will continue. We will be going in to Wound Care on Wednesday, and I am anxious for them to see how things are progressing.
Tomorrow the girls go back to school, as Christmas break is over and we have to get back into the "normal" routine. I also need to take down the rest of the decorations, in the front of the house, and start to look forward to Ground Hog Day! By Ground Hog Day it is beginning to feel like Spring around here, and that is okay by me. Thanks, for all the continued support and prayers - we do appreciate it. Take care and stay positive.

Check to see if the app has an "autopause" setting. I use mapmyfitness when I walk the dog so end up stopping way too often but with autopause it doesn't effect my pace.
ReplyDeleteThese words are so very comforting! He's speaking directly to you! Praying!
John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Continuing to lift up prayer!
ReplyDelete1 John 1:1-4 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
