Well, not much to report about, for the early morning activities. Jason and I had breakfast and we chatted for a little while, then I took care of a couple of chores. This gets us up to going to the hospital, and in case you were wondering... that's the most important aspect for today anyway.

The ambulance got here, actually a little early and there was a smooth transition getting from the house to the ambulance; riding in the ambulance to the hospital; and, finally getting from the ambulance to Wound Care in the hospital. We're getting to know all the attendants for Care Ambulance, and so far they have all been very professional and courteous, Care Ambulance should be very proud of their people and their training.

Once in Wound Care we were working with Rod again, and upon taking down all the dressings he was very pleased with how the wounds are coming. I was hoping that the wound vac was going to be removed, but as it stands, only half the wounds could allow for a removal. Actually, both sides (the incision sort of forms into two sections - one upper and one lower, the lower one still has the vac) might have been able to go without the vacuum, but because Dawn wasn't there today Rod wanted to let her make that call. The super good news was that both sides are looking better and I think that in a matter of a few weeks it will be totally closed and healed up. The other item that we were able to do was to allow Jason to get his injection that was getting a little late, and I was happy to see that. Not sure Jason was "happy" (he is really tired of needles), though he was glad it was done.

As we headed back to the house it felt good that the appointments are going more quickly and perhaps we can better plan or time with this. Linda will be coming back down tomorrow and we can start to feel like we're finally moving in for the long haul. With her arrival, though, we will have a bunch of work to do with all our possessions being brought in, and going to storage. I have some Marines coming over to help with the heavy lifting. Thank you, for all the continued prayers and support. Take care and stay positive.

  2. So glad the wounds are finally healing! And glad you're going to have help moving everything!
May your roots go down deep into the Lord and His Word. Praying as always!
Jeremiah 17:7-8 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

  3. Hope you're having a good weekend!
    Praying!
Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
