Today was an excellent day for the Ross family, in San Diego. I got up early, while most of the rest of the house was still asleep, and took off for a nice bike ride. I went a little over 24 miles, with a trek up this awful hill, right in the middle of the ride. I was determined to get to the top, and had to stop on the way up, though I did make it all the way, after resting. The ride back down the hill was much faster than going up - go figure. Linda and I talked about it and agreed that I will be getting a couple of days during the week, and then one day on the weekend to ride on a more regular basis. Right now it seems like I'm maintaining my leg condition but not gaining any strength or stamina, and that is what I really want to do.

When I made it back to the house we all got busy with a few chores and taking care of a few things, and then tried to get a little rest. The girls went down for a nap, but didn't sleep, and after a short while in bed they got up and we decided to head over to the carousel at Sea Side Park. The girls love riding on it, and it really isn't too expensive. The interesting thing was that my phone had been plugged in when I got back from my ride, and when we left for the family time, I forgot to grab the phone. I managed to spend most of the day without a phone, and it felt kind of unusual.

Not much else going on, other than tomorrow I will be working with Jason, on his resume. Northrup Grumman wants him to come in for an interview and want him to have a resume written up when he does. I think it is pretty exciting, and I think he does too. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

  1. No matter what happens, the Lord is our shield! Praying!
Psalms 5:11-12 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

  2. Lifting up prayer!
Psalms 56:3-4, 13 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me...For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
