Another day closer to moving up to Fallbrook, and getting into our new home. We've been in communications with the Gary Sinise Foundation team that is doing the final set up, that is, getting all the furniture in place and making sure things are ready for the up coming dedication. There are a couple of things that we need to get clarification on, and I'm not going to enter any of it here, as I don't want to spoil the dedication, when it happens, so you're just going to have to wait to see. I'll take some pictures and post on the blog, AFTER the dedication, for all you folks who are not able to make it out here. Linda and Jason have done more packing which sometimes seems endless.

Jason had a good meeting with the VA, today, and got to talk with the Plastics group. Linda went with him, as I was not able to due to working. I am so happy that Linda is able to pick up this part of the support for Jason, as it was one of the areas I was concerned about. She asked questions and even took notes, to share with me, afterward. Jason is pretty lucky to have a mom that can just step in and take over that effort.

The only real other thing we did today was to actually get out and have a "Date Night" - with just the two of us. When we originally decided that we would have a date night, we thought we'd get out once a week. Reality is that we sometimes can get out once a month, and then even then we have to reduce the amount of time we're gone, because we need to get back to the house for one reason or another. Tonight, we went and saw Southpaw, with Jake Gyllenhaal, Rachel McAdams and Forest Whitaker. The story line was good, though not great. The acting was very good and the overall movie was enjoyable. In my opinion I would suggest that you wait for it to come out on DVD or other release (NetFlix or something). Though, I do suggest going to see it. We didn't go to dinner, and it was a relatively short evening, that we both enjoyed. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

  3. Call upon the Lord! He hears! He answers according to His Will. Continuing to pray!
Lamentations 3:55-58 I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon. Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry. Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not. O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.
