Nice easy day, for Jason and I. I had to work and Jason had a couple of appointments. First things, first, we took the girls back to their mom's house, and then came back to ours. I dealt with the things I needed to deal with, and Jason got ready to head over to Balboa, and then later over to MCRD.

At Balboa, he went for a short visit and took care of a couple of minor items, with one of them being a visit to PT. He wants to begin doing more PT visits and getting as much care for his shoulders as he can, and when he was done he simply came back to the house. He left about an hour later, to go over to MCRD, to take care of some paperwork, related to his, and the girls insurance (so you might have a feeling where this is going). He wanted to make sure all the right things were in place and all the correct information was as it should be, and then he found out that it wasn't. In fact, they had managed to loose most of his paperwork and he had to work with them to recreate as much as he could. Fortunately, he is one of those guys who keeps a great deal of the papers that the Marines, and their associated insurance folks provide, so he will be able to get it back to where it should be. He shouldn't have to do this, but it is one of those things he just knows he will continue to have to deal with. Actually, that is a big part of why he wanted to get it done now, since moving to Fallbrook will make it a little more difficult. Right now MCRD is literally across the street. When we move to Fallbrook, Camp Pendelton will be about 20 miles away.

Linda is still in Cleveland, and from the sounds of her phone calls, she is enjoying herself. I think this is a good trip for her, as it allows her to get out and get away for a few days, and sometimes, we all need a bit of a break. I will be glad when she comes home on Saturday, though.

About the only other activity we did today was to go to Costco, and pick up a few things, as well as a new bed for the dogs. The rest of the evening was relaxed and Jason and I had a pizza delivered. Jason was asleep a short while after his shower, and now I'm about ready to go to sleep myself. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

  1. The Lord uses even the worst things we go through. Continuing to pray!
2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

  2. The Lord uses everything that happens for a purpose. Know that I'm praying!
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
