Well, Linda came out this weekend to spend some time with me, Jason and the granddaughters, and now she is on her way back to Livermore. It was a very nice weekend, and we even made it out to Sea World for a short visit. Linda had to get back home, and will be able to get back down here in about two weeks. This time though, she will be staying for more than just a couple of days. I wish there were a way that we could just flip a switch and then we would be back together again on a regular basis, but that isn't going to happen, so we continue to work at it, one day at a time.

Jason has been gaining some independence, and that is a very good thing. I need to know that he can take care of himself, at least for the most part, before I will be comfortable walking away for any length of time. When the boys all grew up and left home I didn't have this kind of separation anxiety, but then those were different circumstances. This coming week we will find out what is going to happen, and when, for the next steps of Jason's treatment. I don't know who is more anxious, him or me, to find out what is in store.

The girls were taken back to their mom's place, where they will be staying for the next two weeks. It was very nice having them around, poopy diapers and all. Having the girls here just adds that little bit more of life to the house, and it has a way of making the place happier - if that makes sense.

No appointment scheduled for tomorrow, so we really don't have much to do, other than head on in to the hospital, where Jason will have to participate in a "formation" of the Wounded Warrior group. Jason said it is like a very intense information sharing session that he is glad only happens once a month. So, thank you for all your prayers and support, as it is continuing to help us along this journey.

  1. Hope it's a great plan and will help Jason be independent enough that you and Linda can spend a lot more time together!
Know that I'm continuing to pray!
Psalms 62:5-8 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

  2. Thank you for sharing, George. I understand your anxiety about the appointment next week. I'm glad that you guys will find out what they think they can do for Jason in regards to additional surgeries, etc. Say the serenity prayer, that is sure to help. Turn it over to God.

I'll continue to pray for you, Jason, and your family. Everything will work out, keep the faith.
