Well, it rained again today, though not as much as it has the previous two days. I had the opportunity to speak with a local guy, yesterday (at dinner) and he mentioned that when it rains like this they start to get concerned about the summer, because with so much water there is an over abundance of wild plant life and that is just fuel for wild fires. Well, were we live there really isn't too much worry about the fires directly, but the smoke would probably be a major issue. Anyway, I digress way too much this evening...

Jason had a nice relaxed day, and aside from a 15:00 (3:00pm) meeting, non-medical, he didn't have much of a reason to get out of bed. He did, however get up early enough to take a shower; which gave me plenty of time to change the bedding out; and, then afterward we went to Costco. We went to a closer one this time, since we still needed to go to the meeting when we were done. We also had lunch at Costco. Sometimes I wish we had a bigger refrigerator, but then that would mean I would just buy more food to sit in the freezer, and the space for the refrigerator would not accomodate a larger refrigerator anyway.

The meeting at the base was actually kind of fun for Jason, and the other Marines, and after it was over the Master Sergeant came over to speak with Jason specifically. He said he knew of someone who was interested in helping Jason, specifically, by providing him with a different kind of lift mechanism, that can also be used around the house for mobility. I supposed it could also be used out from the house, but it sounds like it is designed specifically for the house use. He would be able to "raise" himself high enough so that he could get things out of the upper cupboards, and still low enough that he could work from the counter tops, as he does today. We will be heading up to see this guy on Thursday, to get a better look at what he is talking about. Then there was also a message from one of the generals (apologies that I don't remember his name), who asked about Jason specifically, along with a couple of other guys, and they wanted to be sure he was going to be available next week for a visit. I think it is cool that Generals are making requests and scheduling visits with Jason. Jason seems to be very humbled by that kind of attention, almost embarrassed.

Tonight was laid back, much like the morning was. Jason got back in bed and in a matter of about 30 minutes (or less) he was sound asleep. I woke him for dinner, a short while later, and now it is getting close to bed time. Thank you, all for all your continued support and prayers.

  1. Always here praying!
Psalms 121:5-8 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

  2. Prayed at the ocean today and practiced snorkeling without using my legs. Felt like I needed flippers or small flippers on my hands to propel myself to cover more area. This can be done! Said prayers today at the ocean for Jason and the Ross family.

I'm glad that the Generals want to meet with Jason, he deserves the attention.
