Kind of a nice day to help get back in to the swing of things. One of the first things Linda and I had to do, besides some clean up around the house, was to go to Costco. We really didn't need to buy too much, just that what we needed, we really needed.

This morning, after breakfast, we took the dogs to the vet, for some shots and medical needs. Mr. Jingles was also taken in, as he has gotten very sick. It was decided that he would be put down, so we all said our good-byes and Mr. Jingles is no longer with us. Jason knew this was coming, and recognized the quality of life had really deteriorated, so it had to be done. He was with us for about four years, so we think he was about four and a half and we were told most rats don't make it beyond five years.

Linda did most of the heavy lifting around here as I have been told not to exert any thing greater than 5 lbs. on my right hand and wrist for a few days. It is where they went in and did the angiogram and they don't want me to do too much until it has some time to heal. One of the reasons we went to Costco was so we could buy some of the items needed for Jason's soup. He gave us a list and we did our best to get all he asked for. When we got home Linda volunteered to make the soup, under Jason's supervision and it came out great.

Jason had his regular shower and I did the dressing change, and I'm happy to say that the healing continues. As long as this trend continues he should be in pretty good shape by the time we get to the new house. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

  1. Know that I'm here praying!
2 Samuel 22:29-33 For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.
