Kick back and relax kinda day. I made breakfast and a short while later we went off to Costco for a shopping trip. I wanted to go earlier in the day so that I could possibly watch the NFL playoff games, and as it turned out, I did. I didn't want to do too much, mostly because I am starting to feel much better and I didn't want to over do anything to just get sick again. Now I just have to deal with this darn cough for the next two weeks (that's generally about how long it takes for me to get rid of it) then I should be completely back to 100%, or very close to it.

We got back from Costco about 20 minutes before the first game, and that gave me the time to put away all the items we purchased. The game started and played out pretty much the way I expected it to, with the Broncos being the better team. They are an experienced team with a bunch of talent, and Manning is playing at the top of his game. Now with the second game of the day, the one I was more concerned about; it didn't end the way I had hoped. It began well enough and the 49ers held their own, the first half. Even the second half looked like it was going to be okay, but then they started to fail. Collin made a couple of bad choices and performance by a couple of players was not at the level I had hoped. There were also a couple of bad calls, and even a missed fumble recovery that might have helped, but over all the game was lost on their own accord. As for the Super bowl... well, I really don't care who wins, but my guess would be that the Broncos are going to take it.

Okay, that is about all for the day today, and tomorrow is a federal holiday, so we don't have to go in, though there is formation on Tuesday morning. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

    Well I'm definitely a Seahawks fan but was upset about the calls, too. When reffing at this level you expect more from them! And actually that fumble "non" call didn't end up making a difference because the 49ers got the ball the next play and in better field position. I didn't think the Seahawks played the way they had all year so was pretty surprised that they pulled it out.

10 Alive Day (10 Years after the blast)

 Wow! It has been 10 years today, that Jason was injured and despite all the expectations from the medical folks, he's still alive and as positive and active as ever. Most of you are aware that he is into sled-hockey and that we haven't been able to get out and play for over a year now. There is a positive side to all this, though, as the timing of the shut downs and the length of the pandemic. It began just as Jason's team (the Ducks) was getting ready to go to the championship tournament, in Philadelphia, when everything was shut down. This meant that because they were defending champions they simply maintained the title. I know I haven't been keeping up with the blog and posting as often as I said I would, but I guess that's what happens when the days really do start to seem more normal, and don't feel like there is much to update about. Then when there is something exciting going on, by the time I can get to the blog I'm pretty well worn out for the day and then I'm slow to get to it afterward. Well, I will continue to provide updates, as I can and we'll just have to see where it takes us. Jason's sled hockey season is over and he had a great time with it. He was not able to go to the final tournament, in Chicago, due to travel challenges. First challenge was simply getting there - there really isn't any way to get there, that doesn't simply totally wear him out, and then he needs the next day to recover.  First - Happy Easter to you all!! We attended the 11:00am services and it was packed. This was a much happier and more "normal" Easter than last year, and I'm glad. I want to apologize that I didn't get any pictures, but I do know that Linda has taken a few these past several days, so it is just a matter of me getting time with her 'droid and then I can pull a few over here. It has been an amazing last several days... yet it all began a little over three (3) years ago. You see, Amber H.
