November 3, 2013

A great day today. We got up early, mostly because of the time change, and the girls played around the house for a couple of hours. We had a quick breakfast and then went off to church. After church we went to go have lunch at a basketball game, as we were invited to come by Bob Hamer and he said that there were going to be great tacos there... he was right! Even the girls had tacos and they tend to be a little hesitant to go with new foods. Anyway, we stayed for part of a game and then Jason had to get back down. He had been up for several hours, and he was pushing his limit.

The rest of the day was spent at the house, the girls went down for a nap and Jason took his shower with a dressing change. The wounds are really starting to look much better and I am hopeful that there will be even more significant improvement by the end of the year. The next couple of days are going to be spent with a focus on the Marine Ball, coming up on Thursday, and on his driving school that he goes to on Tuesday. Both of these are BIG events for him, and he is actually kind of excited about them. If you know Jason, you know that he doesn't get excited about too many things. Then on Friday we will be heading out to Las Vegas for a few days, as a guest of Gary Sinise, with a big bonus on that as Linda is going to be able to go with us, as well as attend the Ball. This is going to be a very good week...

Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers for Jason and the family. Things are going well and I hope they continue to improve. Take care and stay positive.

  1. Sounds like lots to look forward to this week!
Know that I'm here lifting up thoughts and prayers.
Psalms 107:28-31 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

  2. Hi George and Jason,
I read the blog each morning and am sending positive thoughts your way each day. I had talked to Linda at church a couple of weeks ago and she told me about the Marine Ball. How wonderful for all of you! Have an enjoyable trip to Las Vegas!
