Linda is here! We just got back from picking her up at the air port. Well, actually we just got back from dinner, where we went after picking her up. Anyway, it is great that she is here. I feel so much better now, and know that she feels better, too. Tomorrow we have a few errands to take care of and then we will be going to the Marine Corps Ball, on Camp Pendleton, with Jason and Gracie. It is something that Linda and I have been looking forward to, for some time now. Jason looks at us and just shakes his head, he thinks we're acting like kids going to the Homecoming Dance, or something. It is a big deal for the two of us, so we intend to have fun.

Otherwise, there really isn't much to tell about today. Jason took care of a couple of things at the base, as well as getting a hair cut, and then we spent most of the day at the house. I did get in a short bike ride, though, it really didn't amount to much. I figure if I continue to ride a bunch of little rides for the rest of this year, perhaps I will be able to ride longer ones next year, and get back in shape for a longer ride, like I did before.

Jason is doing well and feeling in pretty good spirits, and he got some of the required paperwork done today. There is still a little bit to get done, and then we should know what will be happening with the rest of his career in the Marines. Thank you, for all the continued prayers and support. Take care and stay positive.

    Such words of comfort! Praying!
1 Peter 1:18-19, 21 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (21) Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Know that you're in my thoughts and prayers!
Psalms 73:23-26 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

  3. Dear Staff Sgt Jason Ross,
"Thank you for your service" does not adequately express my sentiments. Have you ever received a quilt from the Quilts of Valor organization www.qovf.org/ ? I make QOV quilts and if you have not received one, I would like to make sure you receive one. God Bless.
