Not a great deal to write about today, other than it was a good day and we managed to get some things done. I started the day with a nice bike ride up to Cabrillo National Park, and found that it was closed. It was kind of a bummer, because it is actually a lot of work to ride up to the park, and then generally it is much more casual around in the park - as you rest a bit. Of course the ride back to the house was mostly down hill, so I did get to rest, but it wasn't the same thing. And I did manage to get back to the house at a relatively early hour, about 08:45, and it was still quiet.

I guess the big news for the day was that we now have a place to take the cats, while we wait for the house to be built. This is a very big relief, as we effectively have run out of time. The folks who will be "fostering" the cats are very nice people, and they are actually only about 20 minutes away. All we have to do now is to make sure there is food for them, and we take them to the vet when there is a need (and any other cat expense that might come up). We connected with these folks through Dogs on Deployment (DoD), a non-profit group who are there to help military families who find they need to have a place for their pets to go, while they have to be somewhere else. So far we're very happy with them, and see no reason for this to change.

Tonight was pizza night, and we sat back and watched a DVD. We saw, "Unstoppable," the movie about that runaway train in Pennsylvania, back a few years, maybe 10. We hadn't seen it in awhile and it was kind of fun to watch. Tomorrow should be another good relaxed day, though there is still plenty of work to be done around here, after church. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

  1. Well at least you got the bike ride in. And great that the downhill part was coming home! It usually doesn't work that way! Always uphill when you're the most tired.
We have hope because of what happened so many years ago this week. Jesus came and suffered in your place that all who believe might share eternity with Him! Praying as always!
Isaiah 53:1-3 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
