Linda and I took advantage of the time change this morning, and actually got up "early" for a change. We got up at about 07:00, on a Sunday, and that is early. Of course it felt more like 08:00, so that's why I put the quotes around early. We were up and the girls were still asleep so we both decided that we could take advantage of this time and get some exercise in. This means I went for a bike ride, while Linda went to the elliptical. I managed to get in 16+ miles before going to church, and we were not late!
The rest of the day was spent taking care of some chores around the house, and I even changed out Mr. Jingles cage (Jason's pet rat). Linda swept the floor and it was amazing just how much of Gracie's fur gathers... as Jason likes to say, "she is a German Shedder." The other event that we got to do was to head over to Glen and Anne Picket's place to visit with our cats, Candy and Pumpkin. Both of them are doing well, and growing more and more distant, the longer they live with someone else. We are thankful that Anne and her family have provided a wonderful loving environment for our cats and Linda really misses them. We are really looking forward to getting into Jason's new home so that we bring the cats home.
The other adventure was Jason's. He went off to go shoot his new shot gun, with Anthony Netto. He said he had a great time and that the shot gun worked very well. The range master saw Jason's gun and got very excited. He had seen pictures of the gun but had never had the opportunity to hold one, and shoot it. Jason allowed several of them to take some shots, and they all enjoyed it. It is a 15 round pump action shot gun, and looks like something out of Terminator. Fortunately, he keeps it locked up in a gun safe.
Tomorrow starts a new week, and the girls are looking forward to going to school, in the morning. While they're in school we'll be taking care of a number of things, and begin getting ready for our 3-day holiday to celebrate our 39th anniversary. We talked with the girls about this and Stacy wanted to know why she wasn't going to be going with us. We just told her that it was our chance to have some vacation time, and she seemed okay with that. We have arranged for someone to be coming in to help with Jason's and they're already familiar with changing Jason's dressings. We just need a break - Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

Know that I'm continuing to pray so very hard!
ReplyDeletePsalms 40:5, 11, 13 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. (11) Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. (13) Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.
