Today is the fourth anniversary of Jason stepping on the I.E.D. that took his legs and nearly killed him, though it didn't take his spirit and strength for life. We celebrated that today with a few of our close friends and wish we could have celebrated it with even more people, who have come to know Jason and the rest of his family. Next year we plan on having another celebration of his life and it will be a bigger event, and it will be at his new home.

I really must apologize, in that I had intended on getting to the blog earlier, however we didn't pay much attention to the clock and the evening got away from us. I will, however, put in a much more detailed blog tomorrow, and even post some of the pictures taken. Joselyn and her family catered the dinner tonight with some specially cooked ribs and other dishes, and it was all amazingly tasty and good. She also provided a chocolate cake and because she knows I don't eat chocolate, she made an excellent cheese cake. We had a wonderful time enjoying each other's company and got many pictures.  Besides Joselyn's family, Anthony Netto and Angelica were there; Kristen and Kimberly, from the Gary Sinise Foundation came; and also Tim Kirk, our Realtor joined us. We probably took over 100 pictures, so I am sure we'll be able to show you some of the high points. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers. Take care and stay positive.

  1. Happy Alive Day! Hard to believe it's been 4 years now. So very thankful for how far he's come!
The Lord gives strength to face whatever happens. Praying!
Isaiah 12:2-5 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

  2. These verses contain the reason why we have the hope of life to come. Know that I'm praying!!!!
Ephesians 1:17-20 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places...
