Early morning start with formation for Jason, and unfortunately neither of us knew that it was a formation day until about 06:30. Jason was in communication with his section leader and during their text chat he said to Jason that he would see him at formation this morning. As you might guess, Jason was surprised by this and immediately went into the "got'a get ready quick" mode. Fortunately I was already up and showered and all but dressed (still needed to put my shoes on). Because it was so short of a notice we decided to simply get the girls up, but not dress them. They could travel in the PJs, and I think they were happy to do so. I would simply bring them back here, after dropping Jason off, and then get them dressed and sort of a second start of the day. I did just that, and got them over to day care about 08:20 or so, and they were able to have the breakfast with the rest of the class.
Jason had his first appointment with the VA (they have an office on the Naval Base), and I'd have to say that it did seem to go well. We were given the opportunity to see all his medical records printed out in hard copy - it was very impressive - nearly an entire box of print, just for him. These things are all associated with his Med Boards, that will probably take place over the next several months, up to a year away. The VA guy was surprised when we told him that Jason was still undergoing surgeries, and that a couple of major ones were slated to take place this year. He asked why was the Med Board process going on, and Jason's reply was perfect..."I don't know. I told them the same and I was told that the Med Board needed to get started." The guy from the VA said that if surgery was performed, and it was related to the original injury that the Med Board process would be terminated and it would just about have to be restarted again from the beginning, afterward. Jason's reply... "Okay." We were given some information and a nice folder and hand book, and we were done, for now.
We came back to the house and really didn't do much after that. Jason wanted Taco Bell for lunch, so we went there, on the way home (it was about 11:30), and then I was going to be going for a bike ride. As it was, we both ate our lunch and then I went up stairs, had a brief conversation with Linda and then started to get ready for a ride. I sat back on the bed and promptly fell asleep. Only slept for about an hour, but I guess I needed it, cause I was out quick. I did go for a quick ride, and turned it into an errand. Best Buy is about five miles away, and my GPS broke. Since I bought the extended warranty I wanted to take it back and exchange it. They exchanged it with little trouble, as I didn't have the receipt any longer, so they had to look it up, but it was done.
The rest of the day was relaxed and dinner was simple, and not really much to report about. Jason doesn't have an appointment until 10:00, so no rush in the morning. The girls are over with their mother, for a one day visit, and then back with us until Sunday. It is a complicated story, so suffice to say, Jason allowed the girls to be with Mom tonight. Please include the extended family in the prayers tonight, as there is a need to watch over others, as well as us, and thank you, for all that you have done for us. Take care and stay positive.

ReplyDeleteLamentations 3:55-58 I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon. Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry. Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not. O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.
