The girls came over early this morning, and we were very happy to see them. Since Linda was going home today this would be the last chance for her to see them for weeks, and she always enjoys spending time with our granddaughters. Now, if she could just figure out a way to spend more time with our grandsons, then life would be wonderful.

We did eventually get the girls over to day care, but not for a couple of hours after they had arrived at our place. We had a nice breakfast of oatmeal and raisins, and that is the kind of breakfast that will stay with you for most of the day. The down side was that Linda still wasn't feeling all that well, so that put a bit of a damper on the day, that plus knowing that she was going to be leaving later in the afternoon.

I would have liked to have been able to go for a bike ride, but getting some time with Linda was much more important. We just relaxed together and got a chance to talk with Jason for a little bit. He is starting to put together some future plans with how he wants to continue with his medical treatments and surgeries, and also to keep in mind that he will eventually be getting his own house. He has to decide where he wants to have it built, and then on top of that he will be purchasing a vehicle of his own. Using a rental is nice, in that we don't have to worry too much about its overall condition, though maintenance is important. If he has his own 'car' then it will be equipped with all the bells and whistles that he wants, and hopefully they will be where he wants them to be, too.

We finally had to take Linda to the airport, and that was over way to quickly. Afterward, we went over to pick up the girls from day care and headed back to the house. Linda actually called me while we were at the day care center and told me she was on the airplane. At about the scheduled departure time a Southwest airplane flew out, so we all waved. I don't think Jackie had a good handle on what we were doing, but Stacy was enjoying the idea that she was able to say good-bye to Grandma.

The rest of the evening was pretty quiet. Larry, our in-home health care person, came over about the same time we arrived, so he was there to help with Jason. I had the girls to take care of, and then dinner to make. After dinner the girls and I played around in the front room; went on back to play with Jason and even Larry; and, then it was time to go get a bath. After the bath it was bed time story and then bed sleep time. Thank you, everyone, for all the continued prayers and support, and take care and stay positive.

  1. Sorry she had to leave! Know this is so hard on the whole family!

Psalms 56:3-4, 13 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me...For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
