Well, its the end of the day and I'm ready to go to bed. Jason is probably watching something on TV right now, as he was, when I told him good night a little while ago. Since then I've spoken to both my son David and Linda, and told both of them good night, so now on with the blog.

Jason spent a good portion of the day sleeping, and that tells me he is still healing up, and his body is using a great deal of energy repairing itself. I did a little more cleaning around the place and even a load of laundry, and basically it was a relaxed day for the both of us. I got out for a few minutes to go see what they were doing in the dinning area, it is where there is to be a Super Bowl gathering. I don't want to call it a party, though it will have a festive atmosphere. From what I can tell, there are going to be several groups/sponsors with their tables set up, and lots of things to be given away (t-shirts and hats, and stuff like that). There are two large screens set up, so that people can watch at either end of the dinning hall, with another four smaller screens that can be seen from other angles.

It has been interesting the number of 49er fans that are here, since this is Ravens territory. I'll be wearing my 49er shirt and Jason will probably wear my 49er sweatshirt. The activities begin at about 15:30 (3:30pm) and my guess is there will be lots of food, too. Since it does start that late I might get a chance to go shopping for some things, as I didn't go today. Fortunately we don't need too much, but it would be good to have some of the stuff going into next week.

Not much else to go over today - and that is probably a good thing, it means nothing happened. Oh, there was one little tidbit that did happen of note. Besides the calls that came in from family, Jason did receive an email from Gary Sinise, letting him know when he was planning on coming out to visit with Jason. I just told Jason that I hope we're here when he gets here, since we don't know when we're leaving yet. Ah... the life of the unknown... ;-) Thank you, for all your continued prayers and all the support you continue to shower us with.

  1. Hope you have a lot of fun tomorrow! Sounds like a great way to watch the game!
Can't imagine any greater comfort than knowing that the Holy Spirit Himself is praying for you!
Romans 8:26-28 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
