Another good day for Jason, as we were up and ready to go pretty early and arrived at the OT session right on time, which means about 5 minutes late... ;-) Actually, I got up a little earlier and went to the gym and had my first work out session, but really didn't do much. I'm going to have to get back into it slowly I guess. Funny how the body doesn't work as well at 60 as it did when I was 20 - I just can't figure that out. I got back to the apartment a little later than I wanted to and that's why we were a little late, despite the effort of getting up earlier.

After OT Jason heads over to PT and Mike, who is also a Navy Lt., worked Jason pretty hard today, and Jason worked up a good sweat. We then went over to the Wound Care where there was a bunch of talk about how well the wounds were doing and Kara, the lead in that department, showed me some pictures of the wounds and how they have progressed over the past several weeks/months. After we were done with that we walked down to Main Street and then even went for a short visit up to the 3rd and 4th floors. It was good to see some of the folks that worked with Jason, when he was an inpatient, though it was also kind of interesting to see just how many were still there and how many had left.

We headed back to the room and did not go to have lunch with the Wounded EOD Warriors, who were in the Cafe' with Sherri B. Jason needed to rest as I think that work out really did him in. Besides we were also invited to go out to dinner tonight with our friend Susan S. We decided to go to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner and had a good time. Sue showed up at about 19:00 (7:00pm) and then we took off down the road. The only unfortunate aspect was at the end of the dinner, when Jason needed to get back to the room a little sooner than originally planned. Sue had to catch a taxi to get herself back to her hotel and I think Jason felt a little awkward but Sue is a very gracious person and told him it was okay, she knew how to get back. By the time we were back at building 62 Jason was feeling pretty much normal again, and that is a good thing.

Tomorrow we will again start with an earlier day, and then head off to appointments. Thank you, for all your continued prayers and support.

  1. Know that I'm always praying!
Psalms 31:5, 7-8 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth (7-8) I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities; And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.
