Jason seemed to be at a lower energy level today, though he stayed positive and went through the motions. I think he is missing his girls more, especially since Valentine's Day is coming up and he wanted to get them a couple of little gifts. Problem we ran into was that some of his appointments ran a bit longer than originally planned, and he didn't have time to get to the post office before they closed, so he could send them off in time. Maybe its my imagination but he seemed a bit lower today.

He typically does not have many (if any) appointments on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Today he had four appointments, and they were scattered out through the day, and on top of that a couple of them took a bit longer than we had hoped. There was good news with the appointments, as we found that everything was moving along in a good positive manner, and everyone was feeling good about all that was happening. We have a "general" idea of when some of the next surgeries are going to be taking place, and perhaps we can look at a 6-month window or less of time, for them to happen. I know that 6-months may seem like a long time out, but at least there is now a general target that we can look forward to. Continually moving, one day at a time and become such drudgery over the period of several months. Actually, though, when you think about it, his last big surgery was about 5-months ago, and that doesn't seem that long ago, so looking ahead for 6-months really isn't too bad.

There was a little Semper Fi Valentine type dinner tonight, so Jason didn't have to cook dinner. We got over there and won a $100 gift card door prize. I think we need to go to more of these events... The dinner was nice, with a couple of different pasta type dishes and a couple of nice salads. Jason and I sat down and soon there were a couple of people who came over and sat with us. One of them was the Sergeant Major that we had gotten to know from the previous visit. I apologize for not writing it down here, but to tell the truth, I don't know how to spell it, and it has about 10 letters. The Colonel also came by and the Admiral's head of legal also came by (the Sergeant Major told us he was a civilian, but had the equivalent rank of a 3-star general). The people were all great, and I got to visit with a few of the Semper Fi folks who I hadn't had a chance to talk with, so it was all very good.

Jason was ready to get going at about the same time the event was scheduled to be over. I believe that if we had brought some containers we could have taken some of the food back to the apartment. If we weren't planning on leaving in the next couple of weeks I might have done just that. We have some food to use up already, so I felt it was better not to. Thank you, all for all your continued support and prayers.
