Well, Jason and I went to the Super Bowl "Party" at the cafe' and we had a pretty good time. We saw some people we haven't seen much of, and met some new folks as well. The biggest surprise though, was connecting up with Theresa Sareo, who we got to know a couple of years ago (almost) when Jason was first in the hospital. We ended up having dinner with her and talking for a bit. We took a couple of pictures and then watched some of the Super Bowl. Oh, and one other person we got to meet was Joe Andruzzi, from the Patriots. He was there with his three Super Bowl Rings and let Jason wear them for pictures. He proved to be a very nice guy and went out of his way to allow us to take a couple of pictures with him. He also autographed a photo for Jason.

The game started at 18:30 (6:30pm) and we had been there for almost 3 hours by then. Jason wasn't able to stay up in his chair much longer, and still be comfortable. We headed back to the room where he got back in to bed and turned the game on. Funny part is that he was asleep in a matter of about 15 minutes and slept through the rest of the game. Probably a good thing, considering how it turned out. The guys made a valiant effort to come back, but just didn't get there.

Tomorrow is the beginning of another week, and we'll be seeing all the regular folks for his schedule. I'm also going to be attempting to find out how much longer we are to be here. Jason wants to get back to San Diego, so he can be closer to his kids. He calls them each night and gets to talk with them, for at least a little while. A 2 and 4 year old really don't talk much on the phone, but enough to make him feel a little closer and better. Thanks, for all the continued support and all the prayers being sent our way. I'll get more pictures on tomorrow.

  2. That was one of the best games I've ever seen! So crazy!
    Praying right now!
Psalms 91:1-2, 4 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
