Easy day today, for everybody. We got a late start (everybody basically slept in), we didn't get going until after 08:00, and that was a nice change of pace. We decided to go out to breakfast this morning, since Jason knows his mom enjoys going to The Original Pancake House, he said we should go there this morning. Afterward we did a little shopping at Target and then headed back home. We were on our way back when we connected with  Steve and he came over to the house a short while after we got there. He apparently stopped off at a store on the way over and picked up a bunch of stuff to eat, so we'll be set for the next couple of days, to say the least. I can't wait to try the Mennonite fried chicken... that's what he called it.

Tonight we ended up going out to dinner, since I had received a couple of gift cards for Barrabba's, and Jason wanted to do something different.  The gift cards came from Semper Fi and covered the meal and drinks, so we had a pretty good time. I still have the Valentine gift card that Jason and I will have to use in the next couple of weeks, as I don't think we're going to be here much longer than that. Not much else to write about today, and perhaps that is a good thing. Thank you, for the continued prayers and support.

  1. Christ suffered in our place that we might have the hope of Heaven! Always praying!
Isaiah 53:11-12 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

  2. Mr. Ross, my name is Corrigan Willis, Granada High Teacher and baseball coach (I believe that is Jason's alma mater). One of our coaches ran across Jason's story and suggested that we honor Jason at one of our baseball games this season. Could you or Jason contact me to talk about this possibility? My e-mail is cwillis@lvjusd.k12.ca.us. I think it would be an awesome way to honor Jason and raise awareness amongst our student body about military sacrifice,

    Thanks, Corrigan Willis
