Pretty lite day today, Linda did a bunch of straightening out around the place, she really does love to get things organized, and packed up. She knows we're going to be leaving soon, so she wants to "know" that some of the stuff is going to arrive in a better state of being... ;-) I fixed breakfast, and dinner, and Linda fixed lunch. I have to admit her sandwiches tasted much better than the ones I was making - she says that a good sandwich always tastes better when someone else makes it, so who am I to argue.

Jason wanted to go out to the movies so we went and saw the new Bruce Willis Die Hard movie. It was kind of over the top Hollywood, with far too many crashes and lots of explosions, not to mention the number of people being shot. You'd think that maybe after a while the folks in Hollywood would get the idea that maybe, just maybe they should consider cutting back on the violence and start to send more positive messages to the general public. Invictus was a very positive movie, and nobody got shot. Oh well, I'll get off my soapbox.

Tomorrow is President's Day and therefore a federal holiday and the hospital is closed. Jason doesn't have any appointments, so we don't have to get up too early. Linda will be heading home tomorrow, so Jason and I will be taking her to the airport in the afternoon, then we're back on our own again. This time, though, we feel like we are going to be going back to California pretty soon. Thank you, for all your continued prayers and all the support being sent our way.

  1. Hollywood makes Die Hard movies because people still go to them. And your description of it is pretty much what all the rest of them were...
Know that the Lord is always with you, wrapping His loving arms around you and holding on tight! Praying right now!
Psalms 18:2-6 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

  2. We went to the movie yesterday also and saw Identy Theft. It was just alright and I think it would be a better renter. It was so warm here yesterday and felt like Spring has sprung. Trees are starting to bloom. The last 5 years we've had this incredible weather in February, then March typically roars in like a lion. Enjoy the rest of your visit and have a peaceful day!

    Praying for continued healing, Jason.
