A nice quiet day at the Ross household, where we all got up a little later than usual (about 07:15) and nothing planned for the day, other than my needing to be on a conference call with PMI. (Project Management Institute). The conference call lasted for just over four hours and when it was over I spent the time with Linda as she packed for her travel home. While I was on the call she was busy with other things such as getting the last of the laundry all done and cleaning the house the way she likes it to be done. Anyway, we did a few little chores, like hanging pictures and running to the store to pick up a couple of things, then the time was getting to when we needed to head for the airport.
Linda did the final touches of her packing of the bags; I carried them down the stairs to the front door; and, then she came down just a few moments later. I took the bags out to the car and placed them in the back of the van. I walked back in to the house and was standing in the kitchen, ready to walk back out to the van so we could leave; after all, it was 18:00 (6pm) and her flight was to leave at 19:35 (7:35pm). That's when I got that phone call - it was Southwest, so I put it on speaker so Linda could hear. The flight had been cancelled and she needed to call them to find out when the next available flight would be leaving. As it turned out the next available flight (that she would accept) was at 12:30pm tomorrow afternoon. This was actually very good news for us, and Jason asked us if we wanted to go out to dinner - his treat! Linda gets to sleep with me again tonight (and me with her), so we end up with another night together. Tomorrow, obviously will be a run to the airport, then generally a relaxed day. Thank you, for all your continued support and prayers, and take care and stay positive.

Was just thinking that it stunk that you had to be on the phone all that time while Linda was there and then poof! You get more time with her! Glad it worked out!
ReplyDeleteHope this beautiful Gospel passage gives you comfort! Lifting up prayers right now!
Titus 3:4-7 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
