Today began with a quick breakfast and then I packed a snack and other supplies up, and we were off to Jason's and Gracie's training, up in Oceanside. We had told the girls last night that we were going to be going to a park this morning, where Gracie and Daddy were in a class, and while we were there they would get to play on swings and other play area things. Both of them were pretty excited about going, so it was very easy to get them to get into the van, and then we were on our way.

We got to Buddy Todd Park and Jason went over to their training area and the girls and I went and immediately found the swings. There was also the "train" with a slide at one end, and Stacy was anxious to explore that one. We even did some "tree climbing" before the day was over. Actually, the tree is an oak and the way it has grown allows for simply walking right up on to one of the limbs, and the girls felt like they were climbing a tree. I helped them get up a little higher and got some pictures of them, to be posted tomorrow. We finished up on the swings and just as we were ready to leave, Jason came over to let us know they were done, so it all worked out perfectly.

Going  back down into San Diego was another issue... the traffic was terrible and we even had to jump off the freeway to take some back roads. The good thing about taking longer bike rides is that I'm learning some of the back roads and it allowed us a slightly faster route today. We had lunch at the Olive Garden and then headed on back to the house, where the girls were ready for their nap. When they took a nap, so did Jason and I, though our naps really didn't last all that long.

Not much else happened today, other than a visit from a friend, Gary K., as he brought by a very nice gift for Jason. He apparently is gifted with the ability to work with stained glass and made a very nice "window" for Jason. I'll find a place to hang it, and I think I already have the place.

Dinner was simple and then the girls got their bath. Tonight Jason read to them, from one of the Disney books, and it was great for them all to be together like that. The best part (from my perspective) was that Jason was able to actually place Jackie into her crib. It was a bit of work, but he still did it, and Jackie was very happy about it. Not sure what tomorrow is going to develop into, but I'm sure we'll have plenty of things to do, besides laundry (I need to get a couple loads done). Thank you, for all your continued support and prayers - Take care and stay positive.

  1. Sounds like you all had a good day!
The Lord uses everything that happens for a purpose. Praying!
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
