The girls were up early today, about 06:15, maybe a little earlier. I figured I was going to have a busy and active day when I heard them, but it turned out to be a rather relaxing day, although I was busy enough. It began with breakfast and then instead of going to their day care we waited around the house for a speech specialist, to talk with us about Jackie. Jackie has shown some signs of not being able to form all the sounds of a typical 2-3 year old, and the teachers at her day care asked us to get a specialist involved. Problem is they didn't show up. Actually, what happened was that Jason was supposed to go meet with them last week, and was double booked, so wasn't able to make that appointment. He called them and rescheduled for today, and now they didn't make it. Hopefully it will be taken care of early next week, with another scheduled appointment... wish us luck.

We got the girls over to their day care, at about 10:15 and then were able to take care of everything at the hospital by noon. From there Jason and I took care of a couple of other errands, and ate (or maybe I should say it was the other way around), and we were back to pick up the girls by 15:15 (3:15pm). We made it back to the house with little fuss (traffic was lite today for some reason), and then was all just kind of relaxed about the house. I read the girls a couple of books and then let them watch the other have of Madagascar II, and then we had dinner. Jason was actually able to get some nap time in, so that was a good thing.

Dinner was simple and I read them a couple of other stories and they were particularly pleased. Going to bed was easy. and tomorrow we have to have them over to their day care by 09:00. Actually Jason has a formation to attend at 09:00, so we'll have them there a bit earlier than that. It should be a relatively easy day, but each one tends to bring it's own surprises so I never know what to expect. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers - Take care and stay positive.

  1. Sorry they didn't show up! Wonder if they'll even apologize when they finally get there.
    Praying right now!
1 Peter 1:18-19, 20 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (21) Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

  2. Life can be overwhelming at times, but the victory is ours through Christ! Put your trust in Him! Praying!
1 Corinthians 15:54-57 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
