Okay, so what happened yesterday?

Yesterday, Linda and I went to Sea World, and spent the better part of the day there - just the two of us.

Jason had an appointment with the VA, and that was over in a matter of a couple of hours, and the Marines did the transporting to and back to the house, for us as Linda's Mom and Dad spent the rest of the day with Jason. It allowed Linda and I to had a nice day together, and we simply did whatever we wanted to do. Linda's parents (Joe and Jessie) had to take off this morning, and they will be continuing their trek around California, visiting with family. They are the head of a very large family, and do an amazing job of staying in touch with as many of the family as they can. It was both an honor and pleasure to have them stay with us, for the week (okay, almost a week).

The only down side for yesterday came later in the evening, shortly after Linda and I returned home. We left Sea World and got home at about 19:00 (7pm) and had just sat down with everyone when a knock came to the door. It was the San Diego Police - they wanted to talk to me! Apparently a report had been filed (I won't mention by whom) that I had "slapped" Stacy, while giving them a bath. I told them that it was not true, as I hadn't ever slapped either of the girls. I then asked when was this supposed to have happened, and they said just a few days ago. Again, this was interesting since I hadn't given the girls a bath since about the middle of last month. Linda has been doing the honor. They finished with me and then spoke with Linda, for about the same time, and again in private. When they were done they apologized for bothering us, but that they had to look into accusations, such as this, and we told them that no apology was needed, as they were only doing their job.

To say the least, I was upset and so was Linda. Perhaps it was better that I hadn't written anything last night, as I might have said something that wasn't appropriate. As it was, Jason had received a text message and in it, it says that it was Jackie and not Stacy, so that just made it that much more interesting. I told Jason that we just needed to stay on the high road and not to let these kinds of things bring us down. He was bothered that it happened but wasn't angry, and when we picked up the girls today they were excited to see us, and that is what really matters.

Jason had a formation this morning and we took care of some open issues with his schedule. I picked up some supplies and then we went back to the house. We picked up Linda (she had stayed back with her Mom and Dad) and we went off to lunch. We then went over to pick up the girls, who were just getting up from their nap, and we came back to the house. The girls were happy to be here and were having a great time, then I said I needed to head over to the store to pick up a couple of things. As it turned out, Jason stayed at the house and the rest of us all went. It was an adventure for the girls and they again, had a great time. The rest of the evening was spent with dinner; giving the girls a bath (again, it was Linda); and I helped Jason with his shower and dressing change. The girls went to bed and I came up to work on my email and get this blog put together. It has been a good day.

Tomorrow Jason and I will be heading off to take Gracie to her training lesson (maybe I should say Jason and Gracie's training lesson), and then back to the house. If I can get up early enough I will go for a bike ride, and see if I can get in more than 20 miles, before we go. I believe we had a good day today, and tomorrow is going to be just as good, or maybe better. Thank you, for all the continued support and prayers and take care and stay positive.

  2. So sorry you had to go through that!!!!!!!!
    Continuing to lift up prayers!
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

The Lord is gracious to give us eyewitness testimony! Praying!
1 John 1:1-4 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

  4. It can be hard to take the high road ... but probably better in the end. Good luck!
